Based on the "Supplementary Documents for Secondary Lightning Protection and Network Isolation Renovation in Substations"-Transportation Equipment announcement No. 240 and "Opinions on Optimizing Technical Solutions for the Secondary System of Traction Substations Against Strong Electricity Intrusion"-Transportation equipment announcement No. 325 standard, isolation lightning protection screen is carefully designed and professionally manufactured into an independent emergency protection device. 
The isolation lightning protection screen is a screen cabinet for installing an isolation transformer and a surge protector (SPD) between the AC screen of the traction substation and the outdoor overhead lines isolation switch mechanism box. Providing AC power to the overhead lines electric isolation switch, the isolation transformer feeder circuit realizes the discharge and isolation of the surge voltage invaded by the outdoor overhead lines isolating switch power circuit, preventing the transfer of high level outside the station from entering the AC screen of the traction substation, thus the safe operation of substations will not be affected.

A low transfer coefficient isolation transformer is used with a safety surge protector to realize full-mode protection of the power circuit. 
Each feeder is equipped with an independent isolation transformer, using one-to-one or ring power supply.
